LC Hologram processes personal data in accordance with Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We rely on the following legal bases:
1. Performance of a Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
We process personal data when it is necessary for the performance of a contract with you or in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract.
This includes:

We process personal data when required to comply with applicable legal obligations, including tax and accounting regulations under Dutch law.

You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

2. Purposes
For these reasons, we process personal data.
We only process your personal data when we are permitted to do so by law and for the purposes described below
Account
If you have created an account in our platform to be able to order from us more often, this account will remain for as long as you want. You can cancel your account yourself. If you no longer use your account, we will delete it 6 years after your last order.

Newsletter
We would like to send you a newsletter, because you are a community member or because you have registered for it yourself. We, therefore, process your name and e-mail address in order to be able to send you information and news. We offer the option to unsubscribe under each newsletter. We keep your data for this purpose until you have unsubscribed.
Invoicing
If you have placed an order with us, we process your data to be able to send your order to you and to draw up a proper invoice. We keep quotes, invoices, and payment details for 8 years.
3. Transfer
Recipients of personal data
International Transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), LC Hologram ensures appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)

Transfers to countries recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection

Contractual agreements ensuring GDPR-compliant processing
Transfer to third countries

We try to process personal data as much as possible within the EEA, but sometimes we cannot escape using services from outside the EEA. These companies are located in an adequate country designated by the European Commission.
If not located in an adequate country, appropriate safeguards or binding corporate rules have been established. Usually, we have used the EU model clauses. You can request a copy of this by sending us an e-mail.

Data Retention
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

Contract and client data: retained for the duration of the contractual relationship and up to 8 years thereafter to comply with Dutch tax and accounting obligations.

Newsletter data: retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.

Contact form inquiries: retained for up to 24 months unless a contractual relationship arises.

Marketing communications data: retained until objection or withdrawal of consent.
After the retention period expires, personal data will be securely deleted or anonymised.

Access, rectification, and deletion
You have the right to know which of your personal data we process and you may subsequently request to have it rectified or deleted.

You have the right to request us to restrict the processing of your personal data, for example, if the data is no longer correct, the processing is unlawful, we no longer need your personal data or are awaiting a decision on the objection that you have made against the processing.

Right to object
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. If you object to the use of personal data for direct marketing, we will no longer use your personal data for this.

Data portability
You have the right to receive your personal data from us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable form, so that you can transfer it to another party, when you have given us permission to process your data and when the processing has been done automatically.

Withdrawing
consent If we have obtained your data for a specific purpose based on your consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing before the withdrawal.

Do you have complaints about how we handle your personal data? You have the right to submit your complaints to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

We have taken appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect personal data against loss or other forms of unlawful processing. These measures ensure a security level that matches the data we process.
5. Cookies
Cookies are not used for the functioning of this website. A cookie is a small file that is sent by our website and placed on peripheral equipment by your browser. The information stored in the cookie can be sent back to our website when you visit the website again.

We may have to change our privacy statement, for example, because we have started to use a different method. We will always publish the new privacy statement on our website. If the changes apply directly to you, we will also communicate the changes directly with you.
