3D Storytelling Art

What is 3D Screen Art?

3D Screen Art, or 3D Screen Art, explores the perception of depth within digital surfaces.

The medium is defined by the illusion is developed in response to the geometry of the display, the surrounding architecture and the position of the viewer. The result is a carefully constructed where depth emerges through visual perception rather than physical form — one that allows digital imagery to inhabit space and alter the viewer's perception of the built environment.

How it works?

By applying principles of perspective, scale, movement and light, a two-dimensional screen or surface is perceived as a spatial volume, where imagery appears to extend beyond the physical plane of the display.

Contexts

The discipline is equally applicable to indoor and outdoor installations, including flat, corner, cubic and curved configurations. Each surface presents its own spatial conditions, requiring a distinct visual approach.

3D Screen Art can be realised across a range of settings, including urban media façades, Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) networks, public spaces, exhibitions, museums, environments and interior walls, where the perception of depth contributes to the visual and spatial character of the installation.
